Learn to protect your fruit tree from pests and disease

RSVP Now! There are are only a few spots left in this free workshop!

Join me this Saturday, May 10th from 2.00 p.m. to 3.30 p.m, at The Stop Community Food Centre  at Artscape Wychwood Barns (601 Christie Street, Barn #4) for a FREE workshop on preventing pests and disease in fruit trees.

This workshop is designed for those who already have fruit trees and for those who plan to plant them. Even if your tree is healthy, this is the perfect time to learn about managing pests and disease organically since those problems are easier to prevent before they manifest themselves in the tree.

We’ll go over how to recognize and identify pest and disease problems including rust, black knot, canker and more. I will also teach you when and how to use organic sprays and the basics of pruning out disease problems.

We’ll also explore how you can use “Orchard Sox” to stop pests from nibbling away at the fruit on your tree and whether an orchard bird house might help you protect your trees as well.. See you then!
